Why I Am Running
Hello, my name is Rhonda Cowan and I am the Republican Candidate for District 4 of the DeKalb County Board.
I have been a resident of Sycamore for over 25 years and a graduate of Sycamore HS. I have seen the changes and challenges that have occurred in DeKalb County and want to work to help make the county a better place to live.
If I am elected my special area of interests will be on the education, mental and physical health of county residents, as well as the fiscal responsibility of the Board. I am looking forward to serving you.

A proud Sycamore resident for over 25 years, I bring decades of community service and leadership to my work. I am a dedicated educator of 25+ years and have served as an Election Judge for 15+ years, demonstrating a strong commitment to civic engagement and public service.
I have been married for over 30 years and a parent of two children, I am deeply invested in the future of our community. A graduate of Sycamore High School and Illinois State University, I am also a Blue Star Mother and active community volunteer, including roles as a former Tails foster parent, Scout and PTO volunteer, and union representative.
